History/Info:
This light is one of many new light structures built in the modern era. It is a 30-foot-tall white steel skeleton tower. It is located on a guidewall between two smaller piers just south of  Chicago's large, well-known Navy Pier. This light still aids sailors approaching the piers.

  • From I-90/94 take the exit for the I-90 connector to W. Ohio Ave into downtown Chicago.
  • Once you're on W. Ohio Ave, in 0.5 miles the road becomes E. Ohio Ave. Continue straight.
  • E. Ohio Ave will end at Grand Ave at the Navy Pier. Park in the Navy Pier lots. You can see the SE Guidewall light across from the pier.
