History/Info:
Capo Gallo is the northern extremity of Mount Pellegrino, where an old lighthouse guards the magnificent limestone cliffs. The mount, which is 600 meters above sea level, appears arid and wild today, even if it is said that once Hannibal rested there, with his army, in the shade of enormous trees.

  • The lighthouse can be best seen from the ferry that runs between Cagliari, Sardegna and Palermo, Sicily.
