History/Info:
Marshall Point Light marks the east entrance to Port Clyde Harbor. The lighthouse is accessed via a long wooden walkway similar to the lighthouse on Isle Au Haut. The innkeeper's house is on the National Register of Historic Places and now houses a small museum and gift shop. From the front steps of the house you have a splendid view of the lighthouse and the harbor.

  • From Brunswick Maine take Route 1 north for about 40-45 miles into Thomaston.
  • In Thomaston take a right onto Route 131 south. The turn is at an intersection where in front of you is this big white mansion that looks like the White House (I think it's called the Knox House).
  • Take 131 south through St. George and Tenant's Harbor into Port Clyde (about 14-15 miles).
  • Take a left at Drift Inn Rd (there may be a sign for the Marshall Point Museum).
  • Follow this a short distance and take a right onto Marshall Point Road.
  • Follow Marshall Point Road to the end at the lighthouse.
