History/Info:
Saddleback Ledge Light, sitting in Isle Au Haut Bay, is considered one of the most remote lighthouses in Maine. The small outcropping of rock that the lighthouse sits on has nothing to protect the light tower and the original keeper's house from the weather and the ocean. However in 1960 the light was automated and the the keeper's house, although surviving years of fierce Maine coast weather, was instead destroyed to reduce maintenance costs.

Latitude/Longitude: 43°47'N 68°51'W

Directions:

Heron Neck Lighthouse can only be seen from boat or plane. Lighthouse cruises out of Camden go past this lighthouse.
