History/Info:
Tinicum Rear Range light, built in 1880, is the rear range of a rare triangulated range. The only remaing light of the three, it is also the northern most light on the Delaware River andis still a current aid to navigation. Originally there was a farmhouse and surroundng farmland to go along with the lighthouse. Now only the light remains and the surrounding land is a sports complex.

  • Take 295 South to exit 19.
  • At end of ramp take a left onto Route 44 south.
  • Follow Route 44 south until you go over the lift bridge, then take a right onto N. Commerce Street.
  • Take N. Commerce Street to 2nd Street.
  • Take a left onto 2nd Street, then a left into the sports complex.
