History:
This station was first established in 1879 as a fog signal station only. There are reports that the light was decommissioned in 1999, but it is still listed as an active aid to navigation by the Canadian Coast Guard (April 2002).

Green's Point Light is near the ferry landing where you can get a ferry to Deer Island in the town of St. George. There is also a Canadian Coast Guard establishment at the same location as the lighthouse.

Directions:
  • From Route 1 in St. George , take Route 172 south.
  • Take 172 south for about 16km to the end.
  • Follow the signs to the Deer Island Ferry.
  • Just as you get to the Ferry bear left and follow the road for about 1.6km to the lighthouse.
