History/Info:
Translated from http://www.harbours.net/palermo/pinfo.html

(this is information about the port at Palermo)

The Port is protected by Travelling Mount at North and Catalfano Mount at south-east. The North and South docks, the breakwater outside the harbour and new port-yard breakwater to take shelter from OF and IF winds. The port-entrance is 300 meters large with SSE direction.

The lighthouse's coordinates are Lat. 38 08' 15"N, Long. 13 22' 12"E

Directions: map of area

  • It appears the lighthouse is in a shipyard. You can probably see if from one of the ferries coming into Porto di Palermo. Here are some possible directions to a spot where you can see the lighthouse from land.
  • From the Ferry Terminal at Porto di Palermo, get onto Via Fransesco Crispi and head north.
  • Stay on that road until you get to Via Cristofor Colombo. Take a right.
  • Follow that to the end. You may be able to see the lighthouse from that point.
